Although many ideas for disc replacements have been proposed, artificial disc prosthesis can be grouped into two categories:

1. Nuclear Prosthesis - These implants aim to replace a damaged or herniated nucleus pulposus.
2. Total Disc Prosthesis - These implants aim to replace the entire disc while maintaining motion.

Concept - Titanium endplates and biologic grade rubber core

Spring Disc
